The Electronic Hammer
was founded out of a constant demand for the performance of new music with
technology that reflects the compositional trends resulting from this
combination.
In its first year of existence The Electronic Hammer has performed on various
stages and international festivals in five countries, bringing with them a
unique and original program that represents many of the current trends
in electronic music today. Along with the already existing repertoire, the
group has premiered three new compositions this year and commissioned six
newer works by writers such as Richard Barrett, Michael Alcorn, Juan Sebastian Lach and Alejandro Castanos.
The Electronic Hammer has performed at The Digital Audio FX Festival in London (UK), The Distronics Festival in Eindhoven (NL), Primavera en La Havana (Cuba), Aural Tick in Houston (US), tag Art Gallery in The Hague (NL) and The Sonorities SARC Innaguration Festival in Belfast (UK). Also, The Electronic Hammer has had the pleasure of a one hour featured artist presentation on the "Hear and Now" radio program on BBC3.
The Electronic Hammer is currently based in The Hague, Netherlands.
